Kyle's Mission Call

Kyle's mission call came today. I spent the day doing nothing but waiting......Kyle finally came home and he opened his call right after 5 pm. He is going to the Indiana Indianapolis mission. He goes in the MTC on February 18th. So, the state side voters win! The funny thing is we didn't believe him when he read his call. One of his best friends Colton got called to the same mission and went into the MTC 2 months ago. Before Colton left he and Kyle would joke about Kyle being called to the same mission and how they would be great mission companions. Colton's girlfriend who is also a friend of Kyle's was here when Kyle opened his call. He looked at her and said where he was going. We thought he was just teasing Ashley. So.....he kind of picked his own mission without knowing it! He is excited and so are we.

Last weekend the kids had their fall break. We went to the Sherwood Hills Resort for the weekend. While we were there we took the kids bowling. Now, I have NEVER been a good bowler. In fact, I really stink at bowling. My all time high score has been a 69. Well, we started bowling and of course I think my ball went in the gutter more than anywhere else. So, I decided to roll the ball between my legs. That didn't work either. I decided that I would try bowling right handed, thinking that I couldn't do any worse that I already was doing! Thinking that my ball was headed straight for the gutter, I sent it down the alley. I knocked down 8 pins! Thinking this must be a fluke, I tried it again next turn. Same thing happened over & over! Who knew! I am a right handed bowler! Now, I am still not that great, but better than left handed!

New York & Russia Trip
