Eagle Mountain Utah West Stake Pioneer Trek 2010

This year our youth conference was on a stake level. We did a pioneer trek. This year it wasn't far from home. We trekked 20 miles in the hills of Eagle Mountain. Each trek we have been on has been a different experience. We love each one! Day one wasn't so bad, but day two was really tough. The kids and leaders were exhausted! Day three was trekking home and burying the babies that died along the way. That was emotional for everyone. They got to trek in a nasty dust bowl, but all made it home safely and had a wonderful experience!

What a great experience you had as a family and with other friends and neighbors. I'm glad we had our family reunion trek in Wyoming in 2003 - except for Tani's appendicitis. That was a real pioneer experience for her. :-(

Our Stake did this a few years back for Youth Conference and it went so well we are doing it again next year. Looks like you all had a great experience :)
